Lots on the go & coming down the pipe

Christmas must be coming, cuz there's been a whole lot happening and more to come.

B&B party
One of the members of J&J's bridal party had a bruhaha at this B&B she was house-sitting. There was a really decent turnout and lots of mingling. Afterwards we broke out, hoping for a Kelly's adventure. Alas, Brian was not hosting, so we headed over to the Runner. And that was appalling karaoke. No rhyme or reason at all to the song list, so it was hard to find something decent. And one song I did had all the words fucked up -- dropped verses, etc. And no, it wasn't just my inebriation. Ugh. I can't believe I've become a karoake snob, but there it is. And that's only the beginning of last week's pretentions:

Scotch Tasting
A couple of months ago, a few friends had an idea to start a scotch tasting group. Basically, get together every month or so, chip in $10-$20 each, and buy a bottle of scotch. The dream became reality last week. And it was awesome. Gonna have to invest in snifters for next time, methinks. If this seems pretty lah-ti-dah, it's only because it is.

Blast from the Past party
One of my high school friends recently moved back from Taiwan and got a hold of me on Facebook. Saturday she threw a party and I caught up with a few people I hadn't seen in years. It was good times. What was really nice is that she's only a few blocks away, so stumbling home was a viable option, even in the cold and wind.

Upcoming...
Got a work Christmas party on Friday, heading to a friend's house for lasagna next week, a group Christmas party next weekend, Tiff will be back for a visit around then, and Scotch Tasting Part Deux that week. Kinda like having all these plans.

Who was back from Taiwan? The only one I knew from there was Adam Hunt and he's a guy. And he's in New York now. And he didn't go to high school with us.

Scotch sniffing... It was more funny and less pretentious when I first read it as "crotch sniffing"

That would be the one and only April Crocker. She's back in town indefinitely.

Don't worry Paul, when you get back for New Year's, we'll do a proper crotch, uh, I mean, scotch (or do I?) sniffing.

Tell April that while she was away in Taiwan, I got married. I just couldn't wait for her.
